This illustration was a collaboration with my online friend, Aaeris El on Instagram. We picked a character we both liked from the show RWBY and decided to draw her as a mermaid after seeing another artist do this with their favourite character. Elodie (Aaeris El) did the sketch and I was tasked with doing the line art. I was allowed to make some changes such as adding the flower crown, extending the cape outwards, and streamlining the shape of the tail. After this, I sent her the line art and we digitally painted over this to each create a coloured illustration in our own style. This illustration is my coloured version.
