I drew these pen sketches when I was coming up with a YouTube avatar for myself. I love floral symbolism and use it in a lot of my stories, so I wanted to create an online persona for myself inspired by a flower of my choice. During this time, I associated myself most with the Passion Flower. I liked the almost fantastical colours and shapes that Passion Flowers have and felt it resonated with me because of my love for fantasy fiction as well as how passionate I am about my interests. I first drew a Passion Flower on its own and then tried adding it as a head to different figures. I took inspiration from 1940s dresses because I love learning about history from between the 1810s-1940s and wanted to incorporate elements of antique fashion into my design. Over time, I have started resonating more with the Dog Rose or the Wild Rose because of its pink colour and sweetness, so going forward I will base my branding and any future social media avatars on this flower.
