I came up with the idea for this illustration when I was doodling in my sketchbook. I had sketched out a design of a girl in front of a flower. I thought this worked well with the character, Willow Park, from the animated show The Owl House as she has the ability to control plants. I then did a small thumbnail sketch to finalise the shape I wanted. I decided to make the flower thinner. After this, I did a coloured sketch in my sketchbook with more details like vines and leaves. I uploaded a photo of this sketch into my digital drawing programme and then drew line art on top. I then added the flat colours and shading.
