In 2020, I developed an interest in the electro swing band 11 Acorn Lane. I wanted to redraw the cover for their album, ‘Time For Tea’. At this time, I was still quite new to drawing the full human figure, so I relied a lot on observing reference to get the basic shapes right. Music is an important source of inspiration to me and still is a key helper in my idea generation process. 11 Acorn Lane reached out to on social media to say they loved the illustration – see image that follows.
