In October, I had the idea to draw some of my favourite characters from the show RWBY in Halloween costumes. I spent a lot of time drawing different outfits, looking at what worked and what didn’t, and narrowing it down until I had a finished design. Here are some sketches of Neopolitan, who I decided to illustrate as a witch character. Originally, I wanted to give her a pink hat, but because it blended in with her pink hair too much I decided to make the hat a traditional black instead. I’m really happy with the final version of this concept because I think I was able to balance out the components and colours effectively. I then repeated this process with the other characters.
